Increase Computer Performance

Step 1

Download & Run – cCleaner

• Open cCleaner and select the “Cleaner” tab on the left hand side
• Select “Analyze” and then “Run Cleaner” after scan is complete
• Run the cleaner until all items have been removed
• Select the “Registry” tab on the left hand side
• Click “Scan for Issues”
• After scan is complete hit “Fix Selected Issues”
• Repeat these steps until all broken registry keys have been removed

 
Step 2

Remove Spyware & Infections

• View our “Spyware Removal Instructions” page
• Go through all steps and cleanup tasks

 
Step 3

Download & Run – Defraggler

• Install & run Defraggler
• Defrag hard drive (C:)
• Run virus & spyware scans
• Programs: Malwarebytes, Spybot, & Microsoft Security Essentials
• Install Windows Updates
• Remove unwanted & un-used programs

 
Step 4

Download Windows Updates

• Installed critical Windows Updates

 
Step 5

Memory (RAM) Check

• Go to Crucial.com and run a Memory scan to check your PC’s currently installed RAM
• You may be able to upgrade memory (by purchasing and installing) to boost performance
